That’s right. In case you weren’t aware, singer-songwriter Sharon Van Etten will make her way to Cleveland on August 22. She’s participating in Summer in the City 2012, a program sponsored by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame that brings up-and-coming artists to Cleveland for free.
Summer in the City runs through July and August, with a total of four concerts taking place. The concerts are held on the Rock Hall’s outdoor plaza unless it rains (at that point, the event is moved to the Rock Hall’s main stage indoors). Previous performers just from this year include Cloud Nothings and Bear in Heaven.
Van Etten will appear Wednesday, August 22, at 7:00 PM. Ohio-based Bethesda will open. Food will be available from the Rock Hall as well as various vendors who will be set up. Get there early for good spots. Van Etten released her latest album, Tramp, earlier this year.
